When I was in high school, our favorite game was “killer”... where we would assassinate the other players in the game. Started with water guns, but moved to guns that shot plastic projectiles when it was obvious that leaky water guns was an issue as you went through the school day.
To get a legitimate kill, there had to be two or less witnesses and you had to shoot them too. If a teacher saw you playing the game, they would confiscate your weapon... and you would spend the rest of the day running for your life (unless you had a backup).
Later on, we added a rule where if you wore a mask then you could kill in public with any number of witnesses, but anyone could shoot you. I had a period off (I took calculus 4 days a week at a local university) and I remember on a Wednesday when I stepped into a spanish class with a pillow case mask (complete with a happy face) and sprayed the room with plastic discs.
Fun times...
I cringe when I think what a modern school administration would have done to us.

I agree. My comment was meant to be both satirical and serious, and I believe we are on the same page. To wit, I have tried to imagine being a 5 year-old in today’s school system, trying to honestly recall what I felt and thought when I was that age, and am quite sure that I would have lost my fragile little mind back then if I was being indoctrinated with the same perversions being pushed upon children today as “normal” or “acceptable”.
They are thinking that they can break the “gun culture”.
I agree with that. I would have been confused by it.
First of all, I didn’t know where kids came from at that age. It wasn’t a concern of mine.
Now all of a sudden you have to confront what mom and dad are doing, and then what the two big men down the street are doing, or what the two old ladies next door are doing?
