As you probably know, the Royals are taking on the Orioles in the ALCS this weekend. It's the first time in 29 years that Kansas City has been in this position and players, fans and local church groups are all very excited. But there was still one major issue going into Friday's Game 1: The city had a street named Baltimore Avenue.
On Thursday, that issue was corrected:
Yes, you can now drink "Moose Drool" on Royals Avenue while watching Friday's game. And hopefully Mayor Sly James is there because Sly James is the best mayor name in all the land.
Having said that, my Royals in 6 games. The Cards in 7. Replay of the 1985 I-70 World Series with the same outcome.
I have tickets to game 2.
I love you. I want to bear your children. Please take me.
Go Orioles!!!
I became a Royals fan in 1988, three years after their World Series victory. Congratulations KC, enjoy this honor!
Why Moose Drool?? That is a Montana beer.
In honor of Mike "Moose" Moustakas, our third baseman.
Philadelphia has a major road named “Baltimore Avenue”, and they didn’t feel the need to rename it when they played the Orioles in the ‘83 series.
Remind me, who won the '83 Series? Maybe if they had changed the name...
lol
There you have it. I drink at Kelly’s when in town.
