Wow! Chuck Todd Says Grimes 'Disqualified Herself' By Refusing to Say If She Voted for Obama
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Whatever liberal leanings he might have, sometimes the political animal in Chuck Todd just can't contain itself. Take today's Morning Joe, where Todd host absolutely annihilated Alison Lundergan Grimes, Dem candidate for senator from Kentucky, for her refusal to say whether she voted for Barack Obama for president.

Todd ripped Grimes as "ridiculous," then twice declared that she had "disqualified herself." Ouch! Even Mika Brzezinski was embarrassed by Grimes' cringe-worthy performance, as you'll see in the screengrab.

Why is refusing to disclose your vote a problem?

I know, she’s supposed to show solidarity with the Party during a difficult election, but why didn’t she just stand on general principles and refuse to answer without waffling?

“Why is refusing to disclose your vote a problem?”

They’re afraid she’ll start a trend.

“but why didn’t she just stand on general principles “

She would have to borrow some to stand on. She has none.

So, this is what’s going on in the MSM. The have to decide what is more important. Protecting Obama and giving up the Senate, knowing full well Republicans won’t impeach to remove, or openl supporting Dems for the Senate, having no excuse for two more years and then worry that they will not be able to cover for Hillary.

As we have seen, Obama has given his marching orders to the presstitutes. Blame rats now and in January, it’s a full on war with the Republican majority.

I watched the video. I actually thought the candidate was ok. Of course I loathe editorial boards and they make me want to puke thinking they have a right to have their questions answered they way they want them answered.

Sort of hard to choose a villain on this one. The idiot Dem candidate, the newspaper, the idiots on the television, or the Marxist who is the topic of the conversation. Loathe all of them. But I think I loathe Grimes the least in this particular instance.....

Maybe the rats and LSM figure having mcconnell win is better for the dims. If they think they are going to lose the senate, having this spineless gop-e POS in charge is like having a dim in charge.

It’s Todd just trying to get a little cred here. They know Grimes is done, no chance of winning. So, they pile on, getting their “unbiased” credentials. If Grimes had a chance, they’d just bury this like a cat burying a turd.

She probably hasn’t voted very often. She looked very bad though.

You just used principles and a democrat in the same sentence.

It is not a problem unless you are running for office and lying and saying you never supported Obama.

She is exposed as a liar. Even the liberal media realize this.

I have infamously said on many threads here that I was going to hold my nose and, for the first time since 1972, vote for a democrat (Grimes) to eliminate McConnel.

As bad as a vote for McConnel would be, revelations about Grimes this last two weeks has pushed the “T-chart” in the other direction.

I will now hold my nose and vote for McConnel.

Chuck shoulda asked Grimes if she's OK w/ struggling taxpayers getting stuck with the multiple million dollar tab for the Obama's relentless vacations.

The Obama's are always hyping their family togetherness----that's a laugh. They take separate vacays. Been estimated he's spent some 800 hours golfing. All those shots of him on the greens never show the kiddies and wifey in tow. That's togetherness?

While our kids were shut out of the WH supposedly due to Secret Service cutbacks, the O's teen daughter was spotted in NYC---with girlfriends---dining st the pricey Buddakan, scoffing up rock shrimp, edamame dumplings, short ribs, lobster fried rice........replete w/ five Secret Service guards dining nearby, while students her age were denied access to the people's house.

=================================================

NRO tallied up the total for the Obamas' sullying our White House: $1.4 billion per year: Air Force One ($181,757 per hour), executive chef ($100,000 per year), three full-time White House calligraphers ($ 277,050 per year for the trio), chief of staff to the president’s dog ($102,000 per year), Ohaha's royal motorcade ($2.2 million).

==========================================

The current annual cost of the White House — just in household expenses, not including US policy operations for which the WH exists--administered by some 900 policy staff recruited by Ohaha) — is $1.4 billion:

Annually, Ohaha vacations cost $20 million (the low estimate for one vacay Ohaha took to Hawaii while Moochelle was skiing Aspen) was $4 million, but the true cost is probably five times that); the first family’s yearly health-care costs are $7 million; more than $6 million is spent on the White House grounds each year. Transporting the president cost $346 million last year.

But as Mrs O whined, "America is basically a downright mean sort of place" ......

================================================

Michelle Obama appears on the cover of Vogue--posed to perfection--- and opens up about what she says is her biggest priority -- maintaining a happy and tight-knit family. "Our job is, first and foremost, to make sure our family is whole,"

I'm surprised Mrs O did not wear for the Vogue cover, the pricey diamnod bangles she sported at a Texas DNC fund-raiser ....raised big bucks to keep Mr O in office so he could work for "the poor." Musta wowed all the "tolerant and compassionate" Dems who hate the rich and support endless govt programs "for the poor."

The Gothic diamond cuff was priced at $15,350 set with 2.17 carats in diamonds and the Quatrefoil bracelet at $11,800 set with 1.73 carats in diamonds. (Excerpt) Read more at houston.culturemap.com

Sure, but she could have said, “I’m a Democrat, I support my Party, but I won’t discuss my vote.” It would be clear who she voted for anyway. She could then say she doesn’t agree with all of O’s policies

It wouldn’t have helped much, because Obama is bad juju on the campaign trail right now, but at least it wouldn’t come across as so mealy-mouthed.

I sort of agree.

She could have just said something like “My vote in the voting booth is private”. Which it is.

Still, I’m enjoying the whole thing.

I have a different take from some of you. I think the Dems are just snakebit this year. From Montana to Iowa, Wisconsin to Ohio, now this and probably other examples I neglected to name, they are making the same mistakes and blunders Republicans used to make, making themselves the objects of ridicule. I’ve been very suspicious of the whole “GOP wave” prediction but I’m beginning to wonder if there may be something to it. Democrats are floundering like Republicans did eight years ago.
