They aren’t very good reporters if they aren’t suspicious
Basically, for six years...they’ve marginalized their investigative skills, lost readers and viewers, and pushed themselves into a corner. Suddenly changing now? I think they’d lose what respect they have left. To suddenly wake up and say they got smart...won’t work with the public.

The 5Ws went out the window when Barry climbed in. Secondly, any ‘reporter’ that ‘trusts’ a damn thing, ESPECIALLY from a pol is a complete idiot in need of other employment. The very concept of reportage is to get at the truth of a given situation, ergo ‘trusting’ the subject is contrary to that concept.
Why try to get truth if you believe what is handed to you?
