Nineteen-month-old Bounkham Bou Bou Phonesavanhs nose was detached from his face after a stun grenade landed in his playpen during the raid, carried out by a Habersham SWAT team in May. According to an incident report obtained from the Habersham sheriffs office, deputies were told to anticipate a cache of weapons and armed guards at the home

How on earth could they not find at minimum a charge of negligence?!?
So I guess the cliche has to be updated: a grand jury could indict a ham sandwich (unless its wearing a badge).
This is sickening.

In his book about Chappaquiddick, Leo Damore mentioned that grand juries have tremendous power but generally they only know what the prosecutor tells them.

Step by step, outrage by outrage, “law enforcement” erases the reservoir of good will it had once built up with the citizens it should serve. We slide inevitably (it seems) toward the obliteration of that good will.
This will end badly.

Ya, lets forget all about their choice to carelessly toss a dangerous weapon blindly into a room. Cops no longer care if they harm people. I don’t know if they ever really did care.
Other professionals are expected to have a higher demand for getting it right. Cops? They expect far lower competency levels. What does that say about their own confidence in themselves?
