So why burn everything when you can just wait it out?
It depends. On people who have walked away from their mortgages and people who have had their loans forgiven often are charged taxes on these amounts.
Not billing someone for services rendered is considered a gift. It is not usually considered barter, unless some sort of exchange is made.
Debt forgiveness, while like a gift, it is not, and can be taxable depending on circumstances. Debt forgiveness does not fall within the gift tax law.
Right. All they needed to do is just let things sit as is in the building for so many days; past when the virus’s shelf life. Nature would take care of the clean up.
