I graduated from MSU. While it’s more conservative than um-aa, let’s not kid ourselves about the school. It’s conservative in the sense that National Socialism is conservative. In other words, it’s slightly to the right of something more extreme on the left-wing side of the political spectrum.

I’m not so sure about the Michigan State kids. Probably depends upon the color of their skin more than anything. Most of the young, middle class or higher White kids with whom I’ve come into contact have a very strong libertarian streak. They see Obama and Dems in general as power grabbers. Most of them don’t bother to vote at all, but the ones who did, generally went for Ron Paul or Mitt Romney. I think the polling from the last presidential election reflected that young White people did not vote Dem.
