Yes, I’m reading comments from Spain and they sound like an echo of ours a week ago. People will be demanding of their governments and I’m curious to see what measures they’ll take.

It’s Verrry well established that the US government is totally full of consummate liars —notice how many times these days the really sensitive stories end up reported by British papers instead of our own.

it is time to ask yourself this question:

which government government is more worthy of trust? Of Spain or that of the USA..?

I am an American patriot but I am sorry to say just now the answer is probably Spain.

It is almost a certainty that we are not being told the whole truth about Dallas.

how many more are there..?

Husband of Spanish nurse who contracted Ebola is among FOUR in hospital as it is revealed she complained of symptoms a week ago but was ignored

.............."It's also since emerged that a week before she tested positive for Ebola she had contacted health workers to complain of a fever and fatigue, telling them she had helped treat two priests who contracted Ebola in Africa and were repatriated to Spain.

But it wasn't until she went to her local hospital on Monday that she was finally admitted and tested for the virus. "........

.........."But last night staff at the Carlos III hospital where she worked claimed the protective suits they were given were not good enough.

Unnamed sources told Spanish daily El Pais the suits did not meet World Health Organisation standards.

They said the suits they were issued with were permeable and lacked breathing apparatus."................

..............."Dr Ben Neuman, Lecturer in Virology, University of Reading, said: 'Nurses face a problem in that a person who is sick with Ebola can make quite a lot of highly infectious waste, as the patient loses fluid through diarrhoea and vomiting. Those bodily fluids can contain millions of Ebola viruses, and it only takes one to transfer the infection.

'The protective suits that Ebola workers wear provide excellent protection, but there is a danger when it is time to take the suit off. It is also possible that a tiny amount of Ebola-containing liquid splashed on the protective garments, and then was transferred to her skin while removing the protective clothing. "................

Anyone here been to a hospital in Madrid? You’d be hard pressed to find a private room in Madrid. You don’t even get a semi-private room when being treated - it’s a big open bay with ‘dental like’ chairs lined up next to each other. The nurse’s come in draw blood, and doctors discuss your results while everyone else listens in.

The nurse has become ill within the time period of incubation for Ebola. This means that somehow she failed in keeping proper protocol when caring for the priest, or that the protocol they were using was incorrect in the first place.

Fortunately it can't happen here, because, gosh darn it, we're Americans!

Bring Out Your Dead

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...

Bad hygiene. No respect for personal space. I could see it.

What they DO have going for them though is they are very able and capable of spending long periods of time at home in their apartments doing nothing.
