From personal experience, I KNOW marijuana is NOT addictive.
From personal experience, I KNOW that marijuana will actually sober up a drunk, stop the double vision, end the urge to vomit, slow a drunken driver down, & improve the ability to drive home after a party.
Teenagers should not be using ANY kind of drugs, alcohol included. Tell that to the educators, doctors, & bureaucrats who rush to medicate kids with so-called behavioral problems.
If you want you kids to reject drugs & alcohol, YOU (parents & family) must be the example by totally rejecting them yourself. Monkey see, monkey do.

“From personal experience, I KNOW marijuana is NOT addictive.”
I could make the same statement about alcohol, but it would be equally false. Addiction is a complex process and not everyone is similarly vulnerable to the risk. I enjoy consuming alcohol in moderation, but I have family members and acquaintances who simply cannot consume alcohol in moderation. They have no internal “regulator” or feedback mechanism that controls their use. The same is true for people who smoke marijuana. Most are casual users who lead normal lives at work and home. However, some are caught in a downward spiral of dependency and despair.
BTW, I favor legalization and controlled distribution of marijuana among adults. But I am not blind to the social, behavioral, and medical dangers it poses to some heavy users.
individuals vary, and i know many people who *must* have their dope, just the same as a junkie needs his needles or a drunk needs his bottle...
addictions work in the mind AND body...dude...
