Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper says his state's voters were "reckless" for voting to become the first state to legalize marijuana for recreational use. The Democrat's statement came during a debate Monday with his Republican opponent, Bob Beauprez, just four weeks before voters head to the polls for the state's hotly contested gubernatorial election.
In 2012, more than 55 percent of voters in Colorado supported Amendment 64, which legalized marijuana for recreational use. The amendment aimed to regulate marijuana in roughly the same way alcohol is regulated.

It will work every time.
You are correct. Even if it is true.
I only have one comment. DUH!
It has been proven more reckless to have voted for him as gov. The only negative so far with pot being legalized is the intrusion of the gov on every level in what is now a legal business in Colorado.
And it’s HIS core, base voters.
My tagline.
He’s correct, but you can’t tell that to a country whose only remaining consolation is that it can narcotize itself into oblivion.
Colorado really didn’t need to vote for more stoners.
get a judge to overturn it just like same sex marriage ban , LOL
Exactly, Dems can’t full court press to get uninformed voters and then complain about the results.
Voting for him has been much worse for the state than legalized pot, anyway.
Reckless?
Hell, the piper hasn’t even finished playing his tune, much less asking for payment.
But when the fallout happens and even libertarian stoners see the light of day - Gov. ‘looper will be proven correct.
He signed it.
I saw this morning that homeless people were flooding Colorado to take advantage of the legal pot.
I expect every one of them votes Democrat. Even the ones who don’t vote.
They were even more reckless to elect tax & spend Democrats to the state legislature, the governor’s office and to Congress.
Disagree. I believe it will be a negative to your tourism. While some will visit because they CAN smoke week there, many, like me, will not visit or will not go back. I am in the latter; I was there with some family the first week of September. I kept smelling a horrible smell that was making me sick. it wasn’t till we got to the stadium sunday night for the broncos game that it finally hit me what the smell was (it was there, also).
I will NEVER so much as even drive thru the state again
What will the fallout be?
WHO SIGNED THE BILL?
If you were giving away Free Booze and Guns it be the same.
Stoned people make reckless decisions. A lot of the corruption, evil and sick and twisted cr@p going on today is because of pot where even deprave things are ‘funny’.
But the taxes we’re getting is okay ...
