[IL] Bolingbrook man faces terrorism charges, allegedly tried join ISIS

Mohammed Hamzah Khan, 19, of Bolingbrook was arrested by the FBI at O'Hare International Airport after allegedly supporting overseas terrorism. According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, he was attempting to join ISIS.

Khan was arrested by the Chicago FBI's Joint Terrorism task force without incident on Saturday night. He was charged in criminal court Monday morning with one count of attempting to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization. He remains in federal custody pending a detention hearing Thursday morning.

According to the complaint affidavit, law enforcement agents observed Khan pass through security at O'Hare on Saturday afternoon. The complaint says federal agents then executed a search warrant at his residence and allegedly recovered multiple handwritten documents expressing support for ISIS, including travel plans.

Attempting to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization carries a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Funny how for months we've been letting dozens and dozens go over there, and by some accounts, up to 40 have returned without facing any sort of trouble.

But, I guess now that we're weeks away from the midterms, Obama needs to pretend to care for a little while.

I don’t care what it takes. Ban Islam, deport Muslims until Muslim countries show signs of becoming civlized.

Bring US troops home, put on our borders, stop the enemy and the diseased from coming into our country.

Nobody should be allowed on a plane or into the US unless he is willing to pet a pig. Let them kill each other off in their own countries.
