At State Hispanic Parade, Booker says Bell's Ronald Reagan quote 'insulting' to Latinos

“Ronald Reagan once said, ‘Latinos are Republicans, they just don't know it yet,’” noted Bell. “Maybe that's politically incorrect to repeat in 2014. But I do agree with the premise behind his assertion: if the Republican Party makes the case to them, Hispanics will vote GOP.”

Asked about the quote today moments after he bounded down from publicly addressing the throngs all along Bergenline in serviceable Spanish, Booker strongly objected.

“It’s insulting,” said the senator, descrying the notion that someone could simplify such a broad and diverse group. “Instead of insulting the Latino community,” Bell, Booker said, should back policies that improve those in need.

After the Mexican-American War (1846-1848), Mexican citizens were offered the opportunity to become U.S. citizens, or remain Mexican citizens.

90% chose to become U.S. citizens.

I’m sure the senator has no problem with claiming that the way for republicans to score with Hispanics is to embrace amnesty. That generalization is just fine.

At State Hispanic Parade, Booker says Bell's Ronald Reagan quote 'insulting' to Latinos...if Booker weren't so ignorant, he'd be familiar with the story Susana Martinez, Republican Latina governor of New Mexico, tells about herself - early in her career she and her husband, trying to get to know various individuals in their community, spent an evening with a local Republican leader discussing their views on the government and society - after leaving the meeting and having liked much of what she heard from the man, she looked over at her husband as they got into their car and said "Here it turns out I'm a Republican and didn't even know it" - better late than never, Cory or whatever your name is.....

Just like sharing your pickahnick basket with the bears at Jellystone Park, right Booky old boy? If they are "in need", how the hell are they "saving the American economy". I've been hearing the "unaccompanied minor" illegal alien invaders are the saviors of those dumb American gringos from a lot of 'RATS lately.

Hispanics vote as a 90% conformist collective politically ... so yea, broad and diverse ... And Reagan may have been right in 1986 but that statement is wrong today. Today, Hispanics care more about their RAZA than they do the laws, borders, or customs of the US. They are here to glom off the stupid Gringos, Period.

Booker: It’s insulting to claim Brown people don’t have to be socialists. It’s racist for the GOP to try to win over “my” voters.

My response: Eat guano and go to hell, “Cory”.

To think this crapheel used to be considered a “moderate” “new” kind of Black democrat, he’s just another clueless, race baiting idiot.

Booker is just a better-educated Obama, getting his political career off to a start as a community activist. He and Menendez say all one needs to know about the future of NJ - gibsmedats and an imported underclass...
