I’m not worried about South Dakota. It’s a three-way race and Rounds has a double-digit lead. It should be a Republican pickup.
At the end of the day, it’s going to come down to whether the Republicans perform as they should in Georgia, Arkansas and Louisiana (runoff) and win two of the four “tossups” in Alaska, Iowa, Colorado and Kansas.
Alaska looks like it’s in the R column, which gets us to 50. Iowa looks promising. Colorado can go either way. Kansas looks like it may be drifting away.
It's Mpls-St. Paul that vote overwhelmingly Dim, along with Duluth and the Iron Range (steelworkers who long ago forgot why they must vote DFL, but do it anyway.).
It used to be that a Republican needed a passport to travel up there, but that seems to be changing.
Another thing...it’s a slam-dunk that Star-Tribune polling a day or two before the election will show the entire DFL ticket in a landslide, followed by recounts after the actual votes come in.
There are those “we the people” stuck on stupid but there are those who are not. There are also those that vote with their government wallet and self-preservation that has allowed statism to creep in. This is another dynamic we face and until we get that resolved, will have to deal with the hand dealt to us.
It’s a terrible situation that has been created here the last 100 years with the 16th Amendment. Also the 17th Amendment should have never happened.
There is a need for a 16th Amendment but not to the degree it has been severely abused for the last 100 years since it existed. It’s allowed political parties and politicians to the continued, pimp the vote for a piece of the treasury, since their is really no limits on what politicians can spend or tax. This irresponsibility runs trillions and trillions of dollars deep as conservatives understand here. We now have a whole culture that votes, “what’s in it for me” The liberals/progressives have bastardized what John Kennedy once said about what we can do for our country.
If you want to get mad at the Republican establishment for going along to get along in this whole mess, I’m right there with you. I’m not the happiest with Roberts but he does have a good conservative record to fall back on. To replace him with another treasury pimp politician is just adding to the madness going on with this country. Just look how hard it is to get rid of these treasury pimps once they get established. At least there is a good chance here to replace Roberts with someone that is even more conservative.
Change isn’t going to happen overnight as it is going to be a tough road with the left owning this culture and the culture of influence like the media, academia, the education system, the entertainment industry, government workers, etc. How do you think we got 0bama?
One thing that will speed up the process is repealing the 16th Amendment and replacing it with something more responsible along the lines of what the Constitution was supposed to be all about and limited government. We need to quit being frustrated and start focusing on the answers and fix this amendment, among others, and teach others the value of freedom and our Constitution that guarantees that. So much of that is missing these days, unfortunately.

RINOs are for ORMAN. Roberts is the only conservative on the ballot.

"party of the 'little guy' ". yep, uh-huh.
This is winnable.
I work with Democrats who want Franken gone.
No it isn't. The last time McFadden was less than 7 points down in the polls was back in June.
Good for you Kreskin. What are the next set of winning lotto numbers while you are prognosticating...
I suppose we'll find out in about four weeks if your crystal ball is better than my crystal ball.
