No War for Oil (Saturbray)
www.braylog.com ^ | 10/4/14 | Bray

Posted on 10/04/2014 9:58:56 AM PDT by bray

Joshua 22:33 They were glad to hear the report and praised God. And they talked no more about going to war against them to devastate the country where the Reubenites and the Gadites lived.

As Republicans our Party should be very cautious against going to war with a Dem leading it. After fourteen years of undermining our attempt to bring Democracy and self rule to Iraq and Trashcanistan why in the world should we trust them to fight the same war again? This is as stupi as it gets and if Iraq or another country falls due to their insistence to leave without a stabilizing force like Korea, Japan and Germany then so it is, they were warned. For us to attempt this silly targeting as an attempt to do damage without doing damage is as stupid as it gets and will only end in failure or bigger failure.

We have been lectured, protested against, humiliated and mocked for being pragmatic and rational in our dealings with Islam and the Middle East. Thanks to the Dems insistence of our remaining enslaved by their oil we are required to defend the free flow of oil. In their drug addled brains this is a sin to ensure the supply of their evil fossil fuels, however if they were sober they would realize that fossil fuels are what makes the world run whether evil or not. They are the ones who have brainwashed the world into believing oil causes their dubious environmental disasters only to be proved wrong just like they are being shown a stabilizing force in Iraq would have been a smart move.

You can have a telephone, you can have a television or a telegraph, but you can’t tell a Democrat anything they think they know everything. They were told over and over that there were still terrorists like Al Queda in Iraq and they would not listen and openly made fun of anyone who suggested there were. Just like the WMD that could have never been in Iraq when Saddamn used it on Iran and the Kurds and other Iraqis, they lectured us and lectured us on there were never any chemicals. There was evidence of it and he likely moved it to Syria they used it as a club to undermine GW and our troops for eight years and now we are supposed to trust them with our troops? No never.

Until the Obama Brotherhood gets serious about oil and its importance to the world there is no way we should agree to going to war or a police action with this anti-war Marxist. After he viciously toppled Egypt one of the most stable countries in the ME to instill chaos, we should say no to any military actions for fear of who they may actually be supporting. His actions against Libya and now Syria along with the disgraceful lies he told about Benghazi there is no good reason to support any type of military action by this President.

Is he going to bring Egypt or Israel into his pathetic coalition? These are the two allies we have or had until we elected this anti-Zionist and they are not going to be invited although you know they would turn him down if he did for good reason. He began the riots in Egypt with his social media revolt that cost many Egyptians their lives and especially the Coptic Christians, and now he can be trusted to fight against an Al Queda, Mooselip Brotherhood terrorist group? No, we would be highly advised to protest this war and deny him any military assets.

He and Kerry not only lectured and humiliated Bush and Prime Minister Blair about their execution and winning of the Iraq war they harangued Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu when he was fighting the same terrorist organization in the Gaza strip and now wants to bomb like targets from 40,000 feet. The Israelis were being attacked directly from Gaza night and day with missile attacks and went in to defend their own safety, yet we are being asked to fight Al Queda-isis who has no direct threat to America. Is he going to drop flyers in soon to be attacked areas like Bibi did?

There is no way we should be going to war with a bunch of people who were marching in the streets against that same war two years ago. They were celebrating the deaths of our soldiers and actively supporting the same terrorists they want to fight today. This is not some sort of realization that wars have to be fought and security needs to be enforced, this is simply bowing to political pressure before an election. This is to use the same old smoke and mirrors to hide the fact that their being wrong has some deadly consequences. Just like they were wrong in surrendering and pulling out of Vietnam they were wrong about pulling out of Iraq and the same killing fields are going to be harvested. This is a direct result of their bull headed idiocy we have seen from these Marxists for fifty years. Now let them wallow in the blood of their sanctimony.

As Republicans we stand for freedom of the individual and wish for freedom around the world. We are now finding we cannot accomplish this unless we are willing to all pull together. The Dems have not only not been pulling together but have been rowing the other way for so long they have stopped our boat from moving forward. In their cliché filled minds that is success and now is the time for the Republicans to say no and let them witness the actual results of that success. The massacres are going to happen with or without the bombings so rather than putting our military in the hands of a person who does not respect them or the mission they have sworn to carry out, just say no.

If the Obama-brotherhood wants to go in front of the nation and explain why he should be given the authority to declare war on Syria-isis then let’s hear his reasoning. This is one speech he cannot and will not give, so barring that speech and a clear mission we do not need to get into anymore Democrat wars. We do not need to get into bed with the same people who want to destroy this country far more than they want to destroy Al Queda-isil. We need to stay out of this war and let the chips fall where the liberals have thrown them. It is time to take care of America and fight the fight here. It is time to develop our own resources so we won’t have to go to war for oil. It is time to get serious about becoming oil independent and free from these barbarians. It is time to declare war on energy independence and that begins with drilling and fracking our own unending supply. It is time to throw out the Marxists and become free from Islam.

Pray America wakes

You are so right.

Dark Side of the Boom

Now I must have missed the Post's five-part series on the UPSIDE of the Bakken play, unless maybe they didn't get around to running such a thing.

Even the title of this one sounds raciss, if you ask me...tho of course no one did.

As for the admonission not to have a Democrat at the helm of a military offensive, I’m on board.

As for allowing Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Jordan..., ...eventually Egypt, Libya, and other places become part of an overall ISIS Islamic Republic, no.

Folks, allowing ISIS to gain control of all the resources and wealth in the region, as radical as ISIS is, we can’t allow it.

Let it burn. In the end, there is nothing we can do and with this clown it will only turn out badly anyway. Why do you think the entire region is ruled by brutal dictators? These animals cannot have a democracy due to Islam.

I agree with your thought on a democracy. I would hope for a Republic. Iraq has one right now. I’d hate to see that go.

Now, as for your comment on the brutal dicators in the area, let’s think about that. How many of those brutal dictators are supporting the beheading, rape, rape of children, and stoning that ISIS is doing in mass?

How would you like there to be only one brutal dictator over all of what we think of as the Middle-East, who does support those things across the board?

How would you like that brutal dictator to have the combined wealth of the region?

How would you like that person to spend a hundred, perhaps even a thousand times more money on foreign adventurism across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the United States?

I agree with your take on the Democrats and their ability to conduct these sorts of operations. I also recognize that we simply have to slow down the progress of ISIS.

If you think things are unsavory now, just wait.

We may not need that oil over there right now, but our allies do.

I agree with everything you say and GW had the situation pretty much in hand if we would have left 20,000 troops. The idiot broke it now he can fix it. They are the ones who have lectured us for decades that this would not happened if we simply played nice, well?

There are no good answers and our so called allies who are always stabbing us in the back can fix it themselves.

(1) I agree with everything you say and GW had the situation pretty much in hand if we would have left 20,000 troops. (2) The idiot broke it now he can fix it. (3) They are the ones who have lectured us for decades that this would not happened if we simply played nice, well?  (4) There are no good answers...  (5) ...and our so called allies who are always stabbing us in the back can fix it themselves.

I like your response, so don't get the idea my lengthy response is meant to be an attack.  I see your response as one that expresses both agreement, and if not at least enough reasoned thought based on the situation, that your alternate view to mine, wasn't ridiculous at all. I sitll want to touch on the various points, so here goes.

(1) I appreciate the mention of agreement, and I agree with you regarding Bush's war tactics as well.  I have been quite critical of the Bush years.  IMO, this was his brightest effort.  At first it wasn't working, but he was wise enough to listen to his advisors and allow them to change things up.  IMO, that is why Iraq didn't turn into another Vietnam.  Bush was a good administrator of that war.  He won it for us.  His plan to leave 20,000 troops there would have been excellent.

(2) Once again, I agree with you.  Obama and the Left did break it.  Hell, if they had had their way, there would have been nothing to break.  Bush stood strong against them and brought peace to Iraq.  I am proud of that effort.  I agree that Obama needs to fix it, but that causes concern for both of us.  This guy is not on our side.  Still, could he at least slow the ISIS progress.  I believe he could do that.  I remain skeptical of it, but no effort at all doesn't suffice etiher.  ( I will admit I don't think Maliki was a great idea.  I don't know enough about the alternative people, so I can't be too specific.  I thought Maliki was entierely too cozy with the Irainians. )

(3) I totally agree here.  The Left is out of it's mind when it comes to global dynamics.  They haven't got a single clue.  What they excel at, is making the absolute worst moves.  Iraq, Libya, Egypt, Syria ( on a number of levels)...  The list could go on.

(4) I agree here too.  There are no answers that you and I WANT to sign on to.  Must we find one and back it?  I'm afraid so, and I don't like it one bit.  To do nothing is even worse IMO.

(5) As much as I wish our allies would step up, I realize they won't.  Also there is this, some of them are people and governments I don't want to step up.

- We are the world's police.  Like it or not, someone will have to do what we have been doing.  While it seems like we are always at war, the larger picture could be, and IMO would be much worse if we weren't.
- So why do I say this?  I say this, because I don't want to see Syria, Iran, Saudi Arabia, or any another entity in the greater region develop a formidable military force, with highly trained men, and advanced weaponry.
- If this were to happen, this highly advanced army would be subject to misdirection, and be situated right on Israel's door-step.  It would be a formidable adversary for Israel and the U. S.  Better to accept this and do what we do best.
- I don't want to see Russian or Chinese influence in the region grow.  We went throught that in the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s.  It's not a good thing to have strong adversarial allies in the region.  We're in, they're out.  That is good.

- Folks the only thing worse than the United States sticking it's nose into international business, is it not sticking it's nose into international business.

- We backed off the Somali Pirate situation.  Before long, Indian, Chinese, and other military interests swooped in to fix things.  Is it good that India and China are expanding their military prowess?  What did we expect to happen when we bailed?
- We have to step up.  We need to get our Welfare outlays under control.  If we do, we will have the money for the military that we need.  We can also begin paying down the national debt.

Thanks for your comments.

We agree on everything, but how can you have someone who is not serious about winning and hates the military run a war? You know they would never turn this over to the Pentagon so you can only get our boys killed and will end in failure anyway.

Of course the Marxist Post isn’t going to talk about improved schools or Indians making good livings only the drugs. Like there were no drug problems before the boom.

This is a good question, and it’s one I would have to hold against you if you didn’t ask it.  It shows concern for our men, and your honest pondering of a situation that may very well come to exist.

My take on it would be that Obama could only stonewall so much.  The war effort would be too public for the guy to completely screw up on purpose.  The media would do its best, but enough would leak out so that he would be seen for the traitor he is, if he got too bold.

You may not like this part much, but it seems to me that men who die under shady leadership, deserve special recognition for accepting the task anyway.  Our armed forces are filled with men and women who volunteer to protect this nation and its interests.  Even though this will be fought in the desert over there, I believe the success of the enemy would be very bad for Western Civilization.

Russia was our enemy for decades.  There was still some things it wouldn’t do, because it knew we would retaliate in moments.  These ISIS people don’t give a damn about death tolls.  Their goal is to destroy the West, and NO PRICE is too much to pay.

Look at the people who have fought against Israel since 1948.  No price was too much for them to pay.  Their own lives didn’t matter.  The family homes didn’t matter.  Their loved ones didn’t matter.  These are the creatures we would have given power, if we didn’t oppose them.

We’ll have to force Obama’s hand.  We’ll have to hold his feet to the fire.  More of our troops will likely die than needed to.  Obama will betray them and us in this too.

We have to slow down ISIS, or the next Republican President will have to launch a much broader war to contain it.  By that time far more governments in the region will be disrupted.  The factional aftermaths will make this 5 to 15 or 20 times harder to contain and stabilize.

Others will disagree.  I realize that.  I don’t see a viable alternative.

Once these guys get an unlimited income stream, even Iran will not be able to contain them.  They could continue east to Pakistan as well.  We all know what that means.

Wish I had a better outlook, but his is what worries me if we don’t get involved.

It’s like Ebola.  Do we attack it now, or do we wait until it is rampant throughout the U. S.?

I say take out ISIS now, before it infects everything.

That’s exactly right. Meth was in these small towns long before the boom and of course booze has been there forever.

You are right about them not talking about the working tribal members (and there are many) nor about those who have oil rights and oil.

I grew up with Indians who are now taking in close to a couple hundred thousand dollars a MONTH in royalties...that is no lie.
