Friend of the family’s wife got HIV from a blood transfusion.
Back in the 80’s before they locked it down.
A little old lady who had done nothing to deserve it.
I had an operation in La Crosse, WI in 1981. A few years later, I got a letter stating I needed to come in for testing because the blood I received MAY have been contaminated w/HIV. It all turned out fine and I was ok, but it was scary, to say the least.
So did my older sister.
