Let us hope the GOP does not run on this topic. There are much larger and more important issues the public are more concerned about.

The GOP has become accomplished at giving away elections. Hope they focus and FIGHT on the real issues.

There's a small but growing number who favor legalizing gay marriage, a hard-core faction that continues to denounce it, and a sizable group in between that seems to wish the issue would disappear.

A more appropriate way to characterize the "in-between" group would be that they are able to recognize when a battle has been lost.

I can think of few more conservative traits than the ability to know when you've lost a battle and it's time to cut your losses.

I am strongly convicted in my knowledge that marriage is an institution and sacrament from God ordered to the procreation and generation of children. Marriage is between one man and one woman.

Having said this, I don't see the profit of dedicating inordinate amounts of time or energy to the subject. First, we're dealing with a tiny minority of disordered people here. Second, the issue pales in comparison to the other things that are disordered in government. Third, ignoring the constant pleas for attention by these narcissists seems a prudent approach.

OK, know and be ready to defend your position but first point out the absurdity of spending time and resources on what is essentially a perversion. It should not be dignified beyond that. Not a topic worthy of discussion and a diversion.

We could write an article on how abortion divides the Democrats into three camps: those who want to pretend to be pro-life, those who want it legal in all circumstances and those who not only want it legal in all circumstances, but want to celebrate and force the rest of us to pay for it.

Or we could write an article on how immigration divides the Democrats into three camps: those who want amnesty in return for some future nebulous promises of border control, those who just want amnesty now with no promises, and those who want to actively encourage immigration from every third world hell hole in the world in order to displace the native population.

I know which “camp” I’m in. To compromise God’s principles is giving Satan a blank check. Time on this earth is not even a blip on the Richter scale of life compared to eternity. We should all concentrate on the issues using God’s Word as the Standard. . .to do less is selling our souls to the devil. The older I get, and believe me I am getting old. . .the more I am convinced that there is “no middle ground”. . .it’s God’s Way or the highway. . .we all will be held accountable. Think about it.

All would benefit by going to this site I just discovered and click on “listen”. It is very well narrated. Just type in the book you would like to read/listen to.

Mitt Romney helped facilitate homo marriage in his state as governor. One of the two main reasons he was the first GOP candidate in my entire voting life to ‘not’ get my vote. I left my ballot blank. And I’ll do that again and again, without any qualms, to any candidate indicating any wobbliness on the issue. No way in hell will I, nor my family, ever give my vote to those so comfortable with such deviancy and moral rot.

As same-sex marriage cases cascade through the federal courts, Republican politicians find themselves awkwardly split into three camps.

That is what identity politics is all about.

Dividing people over irelevant issues while the liberals steal the country blind and use the Constitution for TP.

Wonder why this article describes those of us who believe, in accordance with God's plan, that marriage is between one man and one woman as a hard-core faction.

Has Townhall gone wobbly?

How about we accept that gay marriage will be decided by over-reaching out of control courts and not let the puppet masters use this issue to turn us against each other?

To me, gay marriage is not a candidate killer. I believe that we need to worry about terrorism, economy, taxes and repeal of ObamaCare, not if Adam and Steve wants to be married. That said, it should be up to the states, not activist judges or the federal government.

“The institution of MARRIAGE is, of course, at the very foundation of our social organization, and all influences that affect that institution are of vital concern to the people of the whole country.”

— Republican President Theodore Roosevelt, to Congress, January 30, 1905

Marriage is a God-ordained, God-given institution, the first and most important one, when it comes to preserving and prospering families, communities, society, self-government, and the economy.

It is fundamental to the laws of nature and of nature’s God, and absolutely necessary to the fulfillment of the ultimate stated purpose of the U.S. Constitution, which is “to secure the Blessings of Liberty to our Posterity.”

It must be fiercely defended on every front from any and all who would pervert it or subvert it, or America cannot possibly survive.

The attack on the natural family represents an existential threat.

Folks who call themselves “conservative” but are wavering on defending marriage need to wake up. Nothing you say you value can survive the demise of the natural family.

Republicans in Congress have introduced legislation seeking to *****protect***** states from being forced to recognize same-sex marriages.
One thing liberals fear and hate is other people have rights too.
