TORONTO Canada plans to launch airstrikes against the Islamic State militant group in Iraq following a U.S. request, a senior government official said. Prime Minister Stephen Harper was set to announce details later Friday.

Where are all these airstrikes being launched from? I know we have carrier based aircraft but I’m pretty sure Canada doesn’t.

Benton Fraser and Inspector Thatcher of the RCMP could just get a few surplus British swordfish biplanes and sail on that replica of the HMS Bounty.
If I recall correctly, the Swordfish was instrumental in enabling the sinking of the Bismarck. From what I read it flew so slow that the German targeting system kept firing too far ahead of them thus letting them fire their torpedo’s that jammed the rudder.
Canada will drop 500lb snowballs.
