Sen. John Cornyn Praises Blinn’s Role in Educating Texans (still MIA on Ebola in Dallas)

Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) praised the role Blinn College plays in educating Texans Thursday during a visit to the College’s W.J. “Bill” Rankin Agricultural Complex.

“The faculty and leadership at Blinn College are doing remarkable work preparing students and encouraging them to pursue their four-year degrees,” Cornyn said. “I enjoyed my tour of the Rankin Ag Complex, where students are receiving a top-notch education in and beyond the classroom.”

During his visit, Cornyn spoke to faculty and students about Blinn’s nationally-recognized Agricultural Sciences Program, which enrolls approximately 800 students – making it roughly four times the size of any other two-year agricultural program in the state. Blinn offers agricultural science classes on all its campuses, with the W.J. “Bill” Rankin Agricultural Complex in Brenham serving as the program’s hub.
