Hasn’t even been 24 hours and this woman is panicking over food. She’s not concerned that her lover most likely gave her Ebola - just worried where her next sandwich is coming from.

Unreal.

Excuse me, but I was in a 3 week US government lock-down situation. There were a few hundred women and children stuck in isolation and they did not bring us FOOD. After just a few days, the little shoppette and our pantries were empty. Suddenly, baby formula and cleaning supplies became and emergency and it happened shockingly fast.

I was the one that called the post commander and explained the situation to him. He was horrified and actually said the words, “Oh! We didn’t think of that!”

Within hours, semi-trucks were showing up loaded with provisions.

So, yes. It is freaking IMPORTANT. And it’ll be even MORE important if it’s a mass quarantine situation because people will become desperate and break quarantine fast if they have no certainty that help is coming. To keep the peace, you keep the population fed and reassured.
