Morning Update: Nothing to See (Rush Limbaugh)

With the first US cases of Ebola being diagnosed in Dallas, Texas, you hypochondriacs may be panicked. Relax. There’s nothing to see here, nothing to worry about, authorities have everything handled.

Top officials at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital tell us the first unidentified patient is in isolation. The hospital is following recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control to keep everybody, doctors, patients, staff, reporters, politicians, everybody, safe. Yes. They forgot to mention that the patient was first sent home after he told them he was from Liberia, ground zero. But, there’s nothing to see here.

The CDC is on the job. They say 12 people have been tested for Ebola since the end of July. And we just have one case. Or maybe two. Or so. And even though there are only four high-tech special isolation units, in Nebraska and Atlanta, don’t worry. If, by some fluke, others come down with Ebola, any old isolation unit at your local hospital will do just fine. Nothing to see here, folks.

Look. The highest risk is from: travelers from West Africa, where over 3,000 have died. Or from: bumping into people who have Ebola. Like the critically ill patient, or patients, in Texas. And, just in case another stray tourist with Ebola comes here, we’re prepared. We’ve got the airports locked down. Right? We got the borders secured. Right?

And most of all, we’ve got Obama in charge. What can possibly go wrong? Right? Don't sweat it.

Agreed. I think he decided to go to the states because the USA bragged about successful treatments of the first two ebola evacuees that came from Africa. The message is, 'the USA is the best place to get treatment'.

So he figured his best chance was to get here asap. And he obviously didn't emphasize the fact that he had handled someone who died from ebola only four days before.

I can't believe that any doctor who saw him firsthand and knew that he had been in Liberia would just give him antibiotics and send him home. There was a serious breakdown in communication somewhere. And now there's a very high likelihood others were infected in the period of time after he was sent home from the hospital, let alone before that.

Hopefully he was telling the truth about only coming down with symptoms after his arrival here -- otherwise this could develop into a full-scale outbreak. It's already impacting the markets, and people with kids in school there in Dallas.

He was seen vomiting outside his home as the ambulance arrived to pick him up, to take him back to the hospital.

If I had to evaluate his community college law couse, I would scrutinize this smarmy jerk’s Syllabus and course assignments carefully. What a self-absorbed showman and blowhard. A creepy unproductive off-the-rails slackard on wheels. Prolly sleeps with students for grades and gives credit for attending protest rallies while taking selfies with Mirror in hand. A very bad used car salesman, no rigor in the classroom, untrustworthy psychopath, all alarm bells would go off full volume.
