When I was a little kid, the man in this story is what I grew up thinking a "cop" is.

In all of my first hand encounters with LEOs since then, nothing has changed my opinion, only strengthened it.

It's the stories of other people's encounters with the bad cops that have increased my choice of opinions and possibe first impression for next time.

Just one bad anything will ruin the bunch and that's especially true with a bad cop and community trust and good will.

Fortunately, we have people like this man to show us what "normal" looks and acts like and I am grateful to him and for how people like him choose to serve others with their lives.

If things in our world have gotten so bad that we view LEOs with distrust, imagine how they view us in the general public.

And yet, they still go and do what they have to do, what many are called to do. Like this man did.
