American football player CJ Spillman is being investigated over an alleged sexual assault, police say.

The 28-year-old, who plays for NFL side Dallas Cowboys, has not been arrested or charged.

The attack allegedly took place at a Texas hotel in the early hours of 20 September, according to Grapevine police spokesman, Sgt Robert Eberling.

In other news, Obama missed 60% of the daily intelligence briefings.....briefings that detailed the rise and threat of radical Islam.

Uh oh, this news isn’t going to be good for the NFL’s cash grab for October’s pink month, where less than 1% of the proceeds from pink apparel and merchandise go to fund breast cancer.

Breast cancer research, not breast cancer.

The way Goodell is running the show, are you sure they aren’t funding breast cancer?

Or is that something only Mitt Romney would do?

Can we redefine pink month as the NFL's "breast grab"?

Another out-of-control POS from the NFL. Haven’t watched a full game since ‘99 because these “pro” leagues are full of convicts, criminals, and evil predators.

I have to confess to a degree of schadenfreude at the NFL's troubles. This is the league that wouldn't let Rush Limbaugh become an owner. Whose commentators regularly inject left-wing talking points into an activity that should be apolitical. Whose most important pre-season story was the fate of a seventh round draft pick. Who can't find a single place for the most charismatic and popular player to come along in years, Tim Tebow, because they find his religious views distasteful.

Live by the PC sword, die by the PC sword.

The way he’s running the show, I doubt he’ll be there for much longer, but I bet they’ll get another lib to take his place.

There are so many NFL fans I know of that are sick of pink month. We don’t want social issues like homosexuality or liberal guilt in the game. Whenever I argue against pink month, some point out and say that it’s raising awareness and that proceeds are going to a good cause so I should leave it alone. Then I point out that only a tiny fraction of proceeds from NFL pink merchandise go to support breast cancer, and that usually gets even the most liberal people in my family to be upset with the NFL.

From the days of the Pats playing in an abandoned BASEBALL stadium, to last season, I saw/heard 95% of every game.
Something has gone out of the NFL’s magnetism, and this year I’ve watched barely 20 minutes so far.
This year, the vast majority of media coverage of Football has NOTHING to do with football games.
So, to sum it up, who the hell cares?
As in national and international politics, and most other subjects, it is the treatment by the US media that is poisoning everything it touches.

The PC, the thuggery, the brain injury cover-up all combined with the utter tedium of watching a game that is closing in on four hours long have made me into an ex-viewer. And I used to watch a prodigious amount of football. No longer.

Entertainment is supposed to provide escape. I totally disagree with football providing anything but football and those activities that relate to its on-field environment. An NFL that panders to those who want to destroy the sport is insane.

As far as breast cancer? What were they thinking?

You mean you don’t like Bob Costas’ preaching? The best thing that happened at the Olympics was him getting pink eye.
