It's ridiculous to find any racist meaning in this cartoon. People of all races eat watermelon.

I once picked up an old road map of Florida from the 1950s at a used-book sale. It had little pictures of white people waterskiing and doing other fun things. The only black people shown were two black children eating watermelon with big smiles on their faces.
