newest florida chamber poll...voters continue to support governor scott’s reelection

According to the latest Florida Chamber Political Institute (FCPI) poll released today at the Future of Florida Forum in Orlando, likely voters continue to have a more positive view of the future and favor Governor Rick Scott in the state’s top leadership race. Jobs and the economy (29 percent) continue to be the number one issue among voters, followed by education (19 percent) and healthcare (6 percent).

“Florida voters are smart. They continue recognizing Governor Scott is doing what he said he would do,” said Marian Johnson, Senior Vice President of the Florida Chamber Political Institute. “More than 640,000 private-sector jobs have been created since December 2010, our education initiatives are working, and Florida families and small businesses continue to see opportunities for growth. The fact that a majority of polls throughout the last six to eight weeks show voters continuing to prefer Rick Scott over other candidates is a sign that his numbers are solid.”

Governor Rick Scott’s job approval rating continues to remain positive, with 49 percent of likely voters approving of the job he’s doing. At the same time, gubernatorial candidate and trial lawyer Charlie Crist’s favorability continues to drop – 39 percent favorable and 50 percent unfavorable.

“I believe a major reason Charlie Crist is visibly losing support is because voters are beginning to realize that Rick Scott’s focus on jobs is working and that Florida continues to move in the right direction,” said Mark Wilson, President and CEO of the Florida Chamber of Commerce.

In head-to-head matchups:

Governor’s Race, Rick Scott vs. Charlie Crist vs. Adrian Wyllie: Scott earns 43 percent, Crist gets 39 percent and Libertarian Adrain Wyllie earns 4 percent. Five percent say they will vote for one of the other candidates and 7 percent are firmly undecided.

Attorney General Race, Pam Bondi vs. George Sheldon: Bondi earns 48 percent to Sheldon 31 percent.

CFO Race, Jeff Atwater vs. William Rankin: Atwater leads with 43 percent to Rankin’s 27 percent.

Agriculture Commissioner Race, Adam Putnam vs. Thaddeus Hamilton: Putnam earns 41 percent to Hamilton at 29 percent.

polling news.

Ignored by the media, of course, because Rick Scott is leading again.

They’d be crazy not to support Scott. He’s done an excellent job.

Scott may not be warm and fuzzy, but he’s a good governor. Also, I honestly can’t understand how anybody could like Orange Charley with the mega-capped teeth. All he needs is a diamond in the front ones. He looks sleazy and his whole approach is nasty and creepy.

People were so down on Scott early. I guess because of the cuts needed to balance the budget and the nix of the original Sunrail boondoggle. He has restored and expanded much of the education cuts required during the collapse, and Sunrail is up and running.

Other than his capitulation to the race industry to appoint a prosecutor to the George Zimmerman sham trial, I can’t really find much to complain about. The state is doing quite well right now, which should put him ahead in November.

I have not seen a poll in days, anywhere in the country. Its mind boggling.

Good news on this one though. However, I don't feel comfortable with that libertarian taking 4%.

Scott’s administration has improved markedly on every facet of Florida’s economic performance since day one. How any right-thinking Floridian could even consider going back to the sun-tanned chameleon Crist is beyond me.

Do Florida’s Crist-backers also know he supports “slavery reparations?”

Is Scott’s margin vote-fraud/election-stealing safe?

Charlie would support child prostitution if he thought it would get him elected.

Rick Scott's campaign has been hammering Crist lately with two ads:

One, "Flipping Incredible", highlights Crist's blatant populism, telling the rubes what he thought they wanted to hear at the time.

The other focuses his nauseating suck-up association with Obama, which Crist may have thought was expedient at the time, and is now a well-deserved millstone around his neck.

Flipping Incredible is a good ad; it is running now in Miami.

Funny stuff, and a change from the very serious ad with the guy who got screwed by Charlie Crist’s good friend Scott Rothstein the Ponzi schemer.

Thanks for the ping. I just sent this to Jeremy, but like all polls showing Scott in the lead, it will never see the light of day at the SHT. Pretty amazing when the best the dems can offer is a guy who has gone from Republican to Independent to Democrat in just four years.

Does anyone know how Steve Southerland is polling against his challenger Gwen Graham (aka Bob Graham, Jr.)?

Every time I get a pro-tanning-Crist promoting comment on my Facebook page, voting for the tanning boy, I comments that I would rather vote for a BIG rattlesnake than voting for this 3-faces faked idiot. The Libtards getting “upset” every time. LOL!!!

Flippin’ incredible is a good TV spot. I hope the GOP is going to be less stodgy and at least for the purposes of advertising, be less stodgy and more like Flippin’ Incredible. Reach the folks by talking like the folks instead of babbling like Mitch McConnell, et al.
