The Netherlands is selling 44 combat vehicles to Estonia. Minister Hennis-Plasschaert (Defense) expects the sales contract to be signed in December.
The Swedish manufactured CV90 vehicles are still relatively new. They were commissioned by the Dutch army in 2008. Due to cut backs that were agreed on last year, 44 of the 176 vehicles will be sold
The Netherlands and Estonia will exchange information on the use and maintenance of the vehicles.
NATO is putting more military resources in the Baltic States as they feel a threat from Russia. The Netherlands will provide 4 F-16s to help monitor airspace.
Obama’s criminal ineptitude is having one positive side affect - it’s making a lot of European countries appreciate and expand their own military and appreciate the importance of security.
As soon as this phenomenon dawns on the geniuses of the lame stream media, they will spin it as another Obama great achievement and will transform his incompetence into pure genius.
Tanks for the post. Any tech data on these things?; crew armor, armament, engine, fuel .
Re link; Thanks for tank info
I hope it is true, but this news item does not really show that. Estonia has always taken their security seriously and in fact the negotiations started way before Russia's invasion of Ukraine. What made this deal possible was that Netherlands had actually decided to reduce their forces a while ago so we were in position to buy these ifv-s at nice second hand price
