"Conservatives are also demanding Anne Hodgdon, a member of the state organization that launched the investigation — and who conservatives believe not only triggered the investigation but leaked the news of it to the press —be removed from her post and barred from ever working again in any state agency.

In addition, they’re calling for the resignation of top Kansas GOP officials and for the state party to adopt a resolution declaring that if Roberts doesn’t complete all six years of his next term, Wolf would be named his replacement. And they want Kansas to institute a runoff primary, as well as for state party leaders to agree to meet more often with conservatives."

Good! Let's get some concessions for our support (not that they'll follow through should Roberts get safely reelected!). A runoff primary would be a good start!

These Kansas Tea Party people should take a look at the Roberts voting record. He has been as Conservative as you can get to include taking a hard line against any Amnesty. He may be old and has been in Washington a long time, but you know where he stands and his record proves it. This so called Independent has a shady past and offers a lot of questions on where he stands.

I wonder why the Left and RINOs fear an organization that is reportedly “dead”.

The dude doesn’t live here.

Kansans don’t cotton to prevaricators and operators.

This Kansan did not support Roberts but when it comes down to the election, I feel I have no choice but to vote Roberts. Beats the alternative.

Seems that’s my excuse for all my voting these days, that’s why I vote Republican in the Presidential races, it beats the alternative.

We just need to continue working to get GOOD tea party candidates. Winners, articulate people who can explain what it really is all about - we don’t hate gays, we’re not out to starve poor people, we’re not racists - we’re just middle class folks who are TAXED ENOUGH ALREADY!!

Roberts is, on balance and in the senatorial big picture, an acceptable candidate to conservatives and his opponent is, quite simply, not.

However, the GOPe has put this contest at risk and it is entirely appropriate that conservatives assert serious, tangible requirements if they are to support this candidate. Conservatives, whose votes were for years taken for granted and whose votes led to continued decline in freedom and economic health for the nation, have recently been insulted and fought with greater vigor than Dem opponents. The GOPe has to take some real steps to earn back conservative votes. Those steps include removal of the perennial losers who manage national election (non-) strategy, votes to reduce restrictions on basic human rights such as self-defense, votes against unqualified and subversive nominees (Kagin and Sotomayor had no intention of living up to their oath to the Constitution and it was known from day 1), and reductions in taxation wherever such taxation impedes jobs and growth, equal treatment and blind justice, respect for rule of law, and the ability of individuals to achieve a well-earned quality of life (earned by the many Americans who fought for that quality of life in our past struggles). And, those are just basic matters that one should be embarassed to even have to mention. The question conservatives should ask at this point is, What are you going to do for us? The answer better be very good.

Let Mississippi haunt the GOPe, too.

I’m not happy about it, but if he’s good enough for Sarah, he’s good enough for me.

The GOPe’s would rather lose that seat than compromise with the Tea Party, even though the GOPe’s have been compromising with the RATS
for decades. Which is why this country is now on the brink.

Time to start sacrificing these liberal Republicans in the senate and now is a good time to start. Mitch Mcconnell has proven he’s no different than Harry Reid. He’s an incompetent and the senate GOP leadership is too & doesn’t deserve to be rewarded.

Wood said conservatives are “outraged” at what he called the “nuclear options” used by the establishment in Mississippi and Kansas to defend incumbents facing primary challenges.
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Wow! I know Mississippi conservatives who are still outraged are large in number and will not vote for Cochran, but, I never dreamed there were so many “outraged” conservatives in KS. Oh well...... The GOP can thank the likes of Haley Barbour for the mess they’re in with conservatives. Once a person has red-hot hatred for a candidate, or a Party, it’s hard to forgive and forget; nearly impossible.

Sometimes you have to suck it up and do something that isn't what you prefer.

Palin along with others have been in KS trying to drag Roberts across the finish
line in first place. It's up to the KS voters to make the final call. Paul and Ryan
are to be there sometime in Oct.

For any movement to be successful it needs intelligent courageous leadership. Sarah is one of our trusted leaders and she is asking us to support Roberts. Now you can either betray your leaders and weaken the “movement” or you can suck it up and do as our conservative leaders ask.

The TP is not the problem in KS.

Problem is RINOs wanting to vote for Davis and Orman.

No conservative in his right mind would even entertain the thought of voting for either one of them.

Had a late night last night at Kaufman Stadium watching the Royals win in the postseason for the first time in 29 years. Winning is fun. But, the Harry Reid fan club is out in force this morning determined to lose, at any cost. The big debate is how big to make the circular firing squads, you’re going to need more than one to accommodate all the whinners. We are watching the most brilliant political strategy of all time at play here: let’s win by losing, we’ll show those people and teach them a lesson that they will never forget.

Roberts and Brownback should win, can win, and their victories will be a major disappointment for the media and the left wing Democrats who have invested a great deal in this opportunity. To see Free Republic cheering them on is quite remarkable.

I hope the TeaParty won’t sit home..that’s how we got Obama reelected. Roberts is not 100% conservative, but do we want a 100% Obama supporter?

Left wing Orman or a Senator with a solid conservative voting record. Yeah, big choice there.
