What To Think About

The IUD is most likely to work well for women who have been pregnant before. Women who have never been pregnant are more likely to have pain and cramping after the IUD is inserted. They are also more likely to expel the IUD. But they can still use the IUD.

All the ob/gyns I have had have said IUDs are only recommended for women in monogamous relationships and who have already had children. I took that to mean that an IUD would make future pregnancies risky. And the monogamy thing is due to IUDs increasing the problems associated with STDs and getting rid of STDs. I guess these enlightened doctors want women to have no babies at all and/or to be dead.

Babies have been born holding IUDs. They have been found embedded in placentas. They have also been found in babies heads and other body parts.

Maybe the American Academy of Pediatrics needs to speak to doctors who have repaired the damage caused by IUD implantation.
