Some of the newsies were running an interview with a female officer who had a run-in with the perp alleged perp on an earlier occasion.

She tried to take him down, but he damaged her hand and got away. She said she wished now that she would have shot him.

Ironically, she has just returned to duty due to another encounter that damaged her hand and caused her to undergo surgery.

In two different incidents, the female officer tried to take down suspects and ended up being injured.

There are some similarities with the recent breach of the WH. A female Secret Service agent tried to take down that suspect, but the guy managed to overpower her.

If/when Hollywood makes the movies of these events, they will probably write the parts to be more supportive of female agents and officers in potential hand-to-hand.
