I think that "Lack of fresh water" is going to be the new "Global Warming". :-)

Levity aside, this is scary stuff. "You flushed two extra times today, comrade. That puts you over the weekly limit....".

All that sea water, sunshine and the so-called geniuses in California and they can’t piece together a solid desalination system. What they spend on illegals alone would pay for it.

How much water are they releasing to supposedly maintain the population of the Pacific smelt or some such?

Keep saving the snails and other sub important creatures. Let man know who is more important. Also, why isn’t the water coming in from the mountains? I bet old moonbeam and all the politicians are getting their fill.

“You’re all welcome in California,” Gov. Jerry Brown

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2014/08/26/Jerry-Brown-to-Mexican-Illegals-You-re-All-Welcome-in-CA

California’s population will hit 50 million maybe 70 million. It don’t matter. You California citizens will just have to deal with expensive housing, poor schools, over burdened health care, and now no water. Get used to it.

I bet what they pay for bottled water in California, could easily pay for a couple desalination plants.

Water conservation means they then can bring in more democratic voters and that is all that matters.

Strange...

California has a drought and a water shortage situation and the Pacific is full of water. Hint, look a little further westward and you will see it. Eureka!

California has an extensive coastline and the Pacific Ocean is full of water. But nobody thought to build water desalination plants in the good times. Instead they built expensive homes which fall into the Pacific at inconvenient times.

The sewers of urban California are overflowing but they are not recycling the water. They are dumping it into the Pacific Ocean.

The liberal world is experiencing global warming and the water levels are rising along the California coastline threatening to flood drought stricken areas. The horror of it all!

Possible solution: Raise taxes and import water from France and Saudi Arabia.

All according to plan - those doing the “allocating” are in a very powerful and lucrative position now.

I started using Jerry Baker lawn tonic.

It’s cheap, homemade, and helps keep the lawn green with less watering

Also have clover mixed in with grass. Clover and grass are symbiotic and clover is more drought resistant than grass

What the country spends on illegals alone could move surplus water from the Mississippi to the Colorado River watershed. Such a project would involve three diversion channels in the north, central and south, mountain boring, underground lines and pump stations but, once completed, would not only end most flooding threats in the Mississippi, but would replenish the Oglalla aquifer, but turn much of the Colorado basis into arable or at least irrigable land.

We just got back from visiting some friends in Valencia in southern California. I would go for a walk in the mornings. Every day there was water gushing down the curb into the storm drains from over watering. Yards were very lush.

For so long LA has been accustomed to taking everyone’s water, they must think the supply is endless, it’s just a matter of how far you have to go to get it.

Watering my veggie and fruit garden is important to sustaining life.

Our neighbor down the street has a very elaborate timer, rain catch barrel system I’ve every seen. There are rain barrels under ever down spout. He more or less hydroponics his veggies, and his front yard. His back yard is all veggies.

Of course this is Tennessee where we actually get rain.
