There were no demonstrators outside the Ferguson Police Department or on the city's main business center Sunday afternoon, yet the wounding overnight of two police officers in apparently unrelated incidents left the troubled Missouri city far from at ease..

Tensions flared in the St. Louis suburb over the weekend after officials said a Ferguson police officer was shot in the arm Saturday while chasing a suspect outside the city's community center.

In a separate shooting incident shortly after midnight early Sunday morning, an off-duty St. Louis city officer was hurt by breaking glass after the occupants of another vehicle shot his car multiple times as he was driving on the freeway, officials said. That officer was treated and released....

they are trying to force this to increase into riots.

They are planning something

‘Occupy [your town here]” was supposed to be the big uprising the community organizer-in-chief wanted, and it fizzled into nothing

They are proceeding with the plans though... just getting more brazen about it with no ‘cover’

"..wounding overnight of two police officers in apparently unrelated incidents.."

Right. Saying that this is related to the Gentle Giant shooting would be like saying cutting somebody's head off is terrorism.

Most Excellent!

I would send a smiley for my positive reaction except that holdering is so tragic.

I shall be using said term in my tagline (and per FR guidelines, without attribution).

The ongoing black crisis where thugs, thieves, unintelligible English, looting, lawlessness, sex, drugs, weed, crime is touted as desirable traits for a section of society.

Nope not connected with the Brown incident.

And the incident in Oklahoma was “workplace violence.”

Flipping channels with mute on this morning, landed on MSNBC with a graphic about the overnight shootings. Graphic faded & the hostess got a huge smile. Rewound and put sound on - she started talking about the new season of Scandal as the shooting graphic faded - then smiled. Maybe it was just bad optics.

. . . simmering resentment over Brown's shooting has led to venting at police. "People are just angry and want somebody to take it out on."

Definitely people are using this to stir maximum violence and bloodshed -- no matter the truth of what really happened.

Even under the Obama-Holder Dept. of Just Us and Our People there are unbiased studies of police - citizen cooperation marred only by relatively minor difficulties.

My summary of STUDY FINDS SOME RACIAL DIFFERENCES IN PERCEPTIONS OF POLICE BEHAVIOR DURING CONTACT WITH THE PUBLIC

An estimated

Contact between police and the public

The majority of persons

thought the police behaved properly during the contact. Less than 5 percent filed a complaint.

Black drivers were more likely than

to be pulled over in a traffic stop; 13%, 10% and 10% respectively.

Less than one percent each

were (equally) likely to be stopped in a street stop. Blacks were less likely than whites and Hispanics to believe the police behaved properly during the encounter.

About

believed they were stopped for a legitimate reason.

For the traffic stops

67 percent, 74 percent, and 84 percent respectively believed the reason for the stop was legitimate.

When residents and officers are

the residents were more likely to believe

About

The majority of both did not believe the police had a legitimate reason for the search.

White drivers were searched at lower rates than

About one in eight U.S. residents

Police response

were satisfied with the police response; and

who reported a crime or neighborhood disturbance thought the police were helpful.

For noncrime emergency

to think the police were helpful; 83 percent, 96 percent, and 94 percent respectively.

Other findings include―

"In 2011, there were small racial differences in the percentage of drivers who were ticketed. A greater percentage of black (7 percent) and Hispanic (6 percent) drivers were ticketed than white drivers (5 percent).

"About one percent of drivers pulled over in traffic stops had physical force used against them by police. Of these drivers, 55 percent believed the police behaved properly during the stop.

"About six in 10 requests for police assistance involved face-to-face contact with an officer."

"These finding are based on the Police-Public Contact Survey (PPCS), a supplement to the National Crime Victimization Survey, which asked a nationally representative sample of U.S. residents age 16 or older about experiences with police during the prior 12 months.

"The reports, Police Behavior during Traffic and Street Stops, 2011 (NCJ 242937) and Requests for Police Assistance, 2011 (NCJ 242938), were written by BJS statisticians Lynn Langton and Matthew Durose. The reports, related documents and additional information about the Bureau of Justice Statistics’ statistical publications and programs can be found on the BJS website at http://www.bjs.gov/."

My EMPHASIS ON SURVEY.

People including policemen injured in Ferguson should seriously consider suing the protest organizers and MSM employees using the doctrine of vicarious liability.
