Ortiz Gaming participated in the National Indian Gaming Association (NIGA) 2014 Midyear Conference, on September 9-10, at WinStar World Casino Hotel. The NIGA Midyear event joined tribal leaders, administrators, attorneys, gaming Industry executives, managers, CEO, commissioners and gaming board members, to find out what’s new in Indian Gaming. The event started Tuesday September 9th in the morning with a golf tournament at the WinStar Golf Course.

Ortiz Gaming sponsored two golf teams of Chickasaw Nation representatives, industry executives and Ortiz Gaming members. One Ortiz Team, placed first in the tournament. The winning Ortiz Team consisted of Terry Peters and Steve Colbert of AASE, and from WinStar Casino Chickasaw Nation General Manager Wayne McCormick and Assistant General Manager Zack Colbert. Terry Peters, Steve Colbert, Wayne McCormick and Zack Colbert.

I have never seen it mentioned anywhere except Free Republic. I discovered it by accident when searching for casinos that are named for Indian tribes.
