According to this report (in Korean), his ankle joints are damaged, due to overweight or gout. Specialists from Russia and Germany were flown in to treat him, according to government sources.

No words on more serious illness like stroke or heart attack. I guess he is not there yet, but he is apparently trying hard, so we will see him get there soon unless bullets get him first.:-)
