The family of a deceased Marine is looking for answers after records from the Department of Veterans Affairs showed that he rescheduled an appointment after his death.

Cpl. Jordan Buisman, a former Marine videographer, was medically discharged after developing epilepsy. In June 2012 he saw a neurologist at a Minnesota VA, who instructed him to seek an appointment if there were any changes in his condition. After Cpl. Buisman had a seizure in September, he scheduled an appointment with the VA on Oct. 12, and was confirmed for an appointment Dec. 20, a local NBC affiliate reported.

When asked about the strange occurrence, the dead man said, “Sorry, I didn’t know I was rescheduling an appointment. I thought I was voting Democrat.”

Indeed!

Pursuant to the CERTAIN knowledge that “government” F’s up EVERYTHING it touches, it’s long past time to sell off VA assets piecemeal and close down the system!

This is not re-assuring. The VA clinic I work in was audited by two employees of the Minneapolis VA - a nurse practitioner and a dietician. They were nice people but I was expecting the FBI.

Whatever happened to the VA scandal? I bet the VA continues to give bonuses to those neglecting (and therefore killing) Veterans. Great, no?

The definition of a successful program in Washington = Any department which is named to benefit the people, grows the government, enriches the Beltway crowd and it's tentacles throughout America with obscene riches, grows it's budget in double digits each year, and can enjoy a 50 / 50 administrative to benefit dispersed ratio or better.

The VA problem is not what took place, but that it exposed how our government runs things, that being purely for the benefit of government and it's flying monkeys.

What’s the big deal-io, just be glad it wasn’t the EPA, HHS, FDA or any of the other alphabet agencies /s

Didn’t the House just throw some more $$ at the problem? I’m sure that’ll clear EVERYTHING up /s 2x

No, this was the VA pretending to do something. What the he!! would and NP and dietician know about conducting an audit? Well, they did have several pages of prepared questions...
