President Obama has put America at the center of a widening war by expanding into Syria airstrikes against the Islamic State, the Sunni extremist group known as ISIS and ISIL. He has done this without allowing the public debate that needs to take place before this nation enters another costly and potentially lengthy conflict in the Middle East.
He says he has justification for taking military action against the Islamic State and Khorasan, another militant group.
There isn’t a full picture — because Mr. Obama has not provided one — of how this bombing campaign will degrade the extremist groups without unleashing unforeseen consequences in a violent and volatile region. In the absence of public understanding or discussion and a coherent plan, the strikes in Syria were a bad decision.
With so much at stake and so much unknown, before he gets any further into this operation, Mr. Obama needs to get Congress’s approval and prove that he has fully accounted for the consequences of this foray into Syria.

This is a vote of no confidence in Obama's foreign policy from the Big Boys. Dr. Richard Haas of the Council on Foreign Relations has spoken publicly before on his doubts about Obama's foreign policy, but this is the Big Megaphone here. Something is brewing behind the scenes in New York.
The U.S. has no allies or friends in that hellhole.

Even the NYT can’t figure out Obammy
This has nothing to do with a coherent foreign policy. A few months ago, the IS was JV, a few weeks ago the opposition fighters were a bunch of ragtag farmers and pharmacists.
This is 100% pure, genuine, Grade-A politics in the run-up to the November midterms. His poll numbers are justifiably horrible. Obama has become a tar baby to democrats and he had to do “something” for the team. His using our military to further democrat fortunes is criminal. Treason.
They just want to spread the blame around when things go badly.

There's little else to say beyond the fact, that when a liberal Dem POTUS and Nobel Peace Prize Winner loses the NYT, they have lost the last vestiges of anything remotely construed as American.
I could not agree more.
Obama has nethier the will nor the inclination to seriously take on the Jihadi threat.
Marginal as it is to US interests.
He's making a show and even our more emotional Freepers are falling for it.
A couple of beheadings does not warrant a national response.
