Criticism is fine and fully American, but so is uniting behind the president, the troopsand a risky plan.
Hawks wanted him to act sooner. Doves didn't want him to act at all. The rest of usthe ambivalent Americanswanted President Obama to do something. He did this: persuaded five Arab states to participate in airstrikes against militants in Syria, including an al-Qaida affiliate plotting an imminent attack against the United States.
This isn't dithering. It doesn't look weak. Obama is engagedfinally, and hopefully, for good.
We should root for the president and his success, because there are no easy answers in the Middle East. There is no obvious right way or wrong way to face a threat like ISIS, which makes any decision ripe for failureand Obama is the guy we picked to make these choices.

I'll root for my country and countrymen. Obama can go p*ss up a rope.
Rooting for the end of Obama’s 15 minutes
Obama is beside the point. His own personal success or failure really doesn't enter into the picture.
In fact, it's monumentally stupid to be focus on one character's ups and downs, rather than the fate of the country and the world.
...so far nothing turns up
He is going to find a way to use this “offensive” to topple Assad, I would put real money on it if I had any left.....
To repeat my post from last night...
I don’t have any trust or faith in Obama/Kerry/Hagel to devise and enact a campaign for victory. I don’t have any trust or faith in the American public to have the necessary backbone to withstand the kind of protracted and/or hellacious campaign needed to truly win. And I don’t have the same confidence in the military I once did, with all the degenerate faggotization and social-engineering imposed by the military leadership. And that’s not even bringing up the aspect of rules-of-engagement.
Furthermore, all this seems so pointless, with our wide-open borders, ready to welcome each and every terrorist and miscreant. A war against ISIS to “protect” us, when we are sitting here with our backdoor wide open? It’s just madness.
Obama can go to hell.
I’m rooting for our military and our country. Obama is irrelevant.
Well said.
Why would someone want to root for the success for a minion of satan?
/rhetorical
Ron Fournier can shove it.
Obama is in it for poll numbers and to waste American treasure. Period. Full stop. End of story.
“This isn’t dithering.”
Obama is at a fundraiser tonight.
Brain, What tent do we bomb tonight?
Never!
