Ever notice that people in the movies who are traveling under forged papers or perhaps smuggling too, never throw a stink or a tantrum about civil rights violations when stopped and asked for their papers?

They want to get it over as quickly and cleanly as possible.

Yea, they can do a visual check on your license and registration and insurance, they don’t run your plate or your license until you provide or they find probable cause.

They can make a visual assessment of your car. They can casually question you and make assessments about you.

A few years ago I was stopped THREE times in the course of eleven short miles on my way to a client meeting. I had allotted plenty of time for the trip, yet by the THIRD session of waiting in line, being approached on both sides of my vehicle by officers, and having them peruse my paperwork, it was getting rather tedious.

This was in a licensed, registered, insured, new, and clean vehicle. No tinted windows or anything like that. No ridiculous bumperstickers. Just an average citizen, wearing a suit, on the way to a business meeting, during daylight hours.

Treating everyone like they are "wanted by the law" and later releasing the vast majority who are simply going somewhere is not effective policing. It serves to create mistrust since these guys only HURT MY BUSINESS by making me late with clients.

Kim Komando’s site has a dash cam. Don’t know if it uploads to the cloud.

Opening a car door is a whole different kettle of fish, though.

It’s the 90% of them who are giving the other 10% a bad reputation.

I wondering if the PA trooper may not have been of this same ilk? I know it sad but why am I not sad when one of them gets his clock cleaned? I haven’t had any particularly bad incidents to do with LEO’s.

Illinois nazis?

Yep, and they don’t wear swastikas, either.

And there, you have reason 23,452 to leave that miserable, very expensive craphole called Illinois.

“I’m 3 minutes in, when does it start?

Couldn’t people edit the parts where they are just sitting there?”

Then cop defenders just accuse everyone of making a cut an paste video. They know the difference between editing for brevity, and editing content, but they are too dishonest to admit it.

“The officers of my youth were nice guys who lived in town.
They were friendly, courteous, decent, and completely approachable.”

Officers years ago had their problems. But most were equally fit in the office as well as the patrol car, both in appearance and conduct. Now? Most cops belong as bouncers for dives.
I wouldn’t hire most of them for any professional position, on the grounds I want friendly welcoming people. Not people who’s circumcision scar starts at the base of their neck, and looks like a movie start SEAL.

But the average cop can’t see any of this.

Good recording but he needed to get every officers name and badge # as soon as they start to speak.

It would have been funny for a few seconds if he had locked his door and the cop tried to get it open and fought with the handle. Of course then he would have just pulled his gun and shot the guy, then all his buddies would have pulled their guns and shot the guy.
