.S. officials say airstrikes in Syria on Monday night were aimed in part at disrupting an “imminent attack” by Al Qaeda-tied fighters on either the United States or Europe, in the strongest evidence yet of the growing threat posed by the group.
The strikes against the so-called Khorasan Group, conducted only by the U.S., were separate from the strikes against the Islamic State in which Arab allies participated.
U.S. Central Command said eight strikes were launched against the group’s training camps, command-and-control facilities and other sites in the area west of Aleppo.

Fox News is told that the targeting reflects intelligence regarding the threat of militants trying to recruit western passport-holders to act as mules and carry non-metallic explosives on jets bound for the Europe and the U.S.
Pentagon spokesman Rear Adm. John Kirby confirmed Tuesday that the plotting was far along.

This is fabricated and unsubstantialed. It is cover for” This is not in our national interest” All of a sudden two days ago we hear about this new group that wants to attack the West.
“Khorasan”, ( the one you have read and heard so much about NOT) Well,I want some hard proof . How could this just come out. I have no confidence in the verasity of our government or its propaganda arm, MSM. ( fox news falls for this crap too)

I think soebarkah feels that he’ll win regardless. His signature islamic State may not survive, but there are plenty of other islamists waiting to fill any vacuum their demise would create.
With his hamstringing of the military, he may be able to placate the situation until his term expires. That is, if he’s going. I suspect it all depends on what he thinks of his Presidential Library. If he likes it he’ll go. If he doesn’t we will.
The will say ANYTHING... to get support for illegally attacking Syria with no legal basis. It was simply because Assad refused to sell Saudi Arabia a gas pipeline. BTW, this is a very impeachable offense.
These guys will simply move their works to schools and hospitals.
