You too are a very good salesman for your state. I have learned much about it by reading your posts and doing some research. I think I would like the people of Michigan. It is a bit cold for me, but I still long to experience ice fishing.
We made it to Michigan on a Harley ride in around 2004. Met some great folks while there. I darn near took out two black bears crossing the road just before pulling into my buddy’s place.
After we left we stayed at a mom & pop motel along Lake Superior. It was a record hot summer. The old guy was showing us the room when I asked about the air conditioner. He laughed at me and went on to explain that after dark, just open the window and he handed us a fan..... that was their air conditioner. LOL
We found the views to be incredible and the locals to be very friendly, even though I told them that I think they all sound funny when the talk. ;>)
