I’m thinking about the pre-flood world where at least some humans lived very long lives. If you are the right kind of person the fruit of your life could be magnified beyond what we imagine.

Not everyone is built to handle something like that, they would just get weirder and weirder. Just as, it occurs to me, not everyone is built to be able to bear eternity; for some it would be an intolerable burden. But for those who know how to love, and build, and create, every day would be new.

I appreciate comments such as yours because I'm still searching for answers. This thread should be in the Religion forum.........

As for a response, the only person that could possibly fulfill the fruit of their life is the Pope, but yet he too is term limited based on his limited life span.

Why is that and why hasn't God allowed select individuals of such Holy esteem to live on as long as those in the Old Testament?

Some people have wondered if somehow the loss of the firmament, or the moisture-heavy atmosphere exposed humans to solar radiation that shortens life to our current three score and ten. Because you remember that prior to the flood we are told it didn’t rain, but the atmosphere itself was moisture laden. Some people imagine that this formed some kind of shield that allowed cells to continue to divide and copy themselves without error for much longer than what is normal post-flood.

The exaggerated lifespans ended with the flood and the loss of the firmament.

I have no idea of course. Its just something to ponder over coffee and pie.

The very thought of what will become of this world should The Lord tarry is horrifying.
Our nation is nearly unrecognizable from what it was only a short 10-15 years ago.

Peter Thiel has been a big backer of Ron Paul and Ted Cruz.

According the article he was also a McCain supporter.
