PRIME Minister John Key has won an emphatic victory in New Zealands general election to return for a third term in office.
Labour Party leader David Cunliffe said in a concession speech Saturday night that he called Key to congratulate him on his victory.
The result will be seen as an endorsement of the way Keys National Party has handled the economy.

Had the extreme pleasure of being his pilot for 8.5 hours one day as I flew him and his wife with a group of NZ folks to Antarctica. He is quite a down to earth man and was very gracious to us. Enjoyed the conversation. He went to school in Boston at Harvard so I had a bit of a connection there too as I was raised just outside Boston. He flipped when I showed him that we had some Dunkin Donuts coffee on board so we made a fresh batch and enjoyed the ride.
