It feels like something they would do: video these men getting homo-raped, so as to make it impossible to go back to their old lives. They must feel they can’t leave now, only having a home among men who also went through it.
I don’t say that it isn’t happening, only that I am somewhat skeptical. If there’s all that video out there, sooner or later some will turn up.
On the positive side, maybe some of our gay activists will start booking sex tourism trips to Mosul.

However, I think that some recruits don't need to be blackmailed like this - they are true volunteers.
