House Speaker John Boehner (R.-Ohio) and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif.) joined forces early Wednesday evening as the House passed a continuing resolution that will fund the government after the end of the fiscal year on Sept. 30, and that will permit funding for Planned Parenthood (the nation's largest abortion provider), the entirety of Obamacare, and an amendment requested by President Barack Obama "to train and equip appropriately vetted elements of the Syrian opposition."
The bill passed 319 to 108 with four members not voting.
The bill will fund the government through Dec. 11, when a "lame-duck" Congress, which will include members thrown out by the voters in November, will be able to return to Washington and vote for programs and governmental actions that they may not have wanted to vote for before the election.

I DO NOT approve of this, at all, but I understand it tactically.
If the Republicans blocked these atrocious programs, BHO2 would retaliate just before the elections by cutting off the funding for EBT - and he would blame the Republicans!
I know most people here on FR disapprove of EBT, but cutting off the payments before the election would cause riots and the purpose would be political. This would be done to get Democrats to the polls AND calls for Martial Law.
The Democrats will not allow much of anything that could endanger their grip on power.

Pass a CR that will run till Nov 30. Then pass a GOP budget through both the house and the senate. Then land that conservative budget on Obama’s lap and blame him if he does not sign it.
Any attempt to overthrow Assad will not end well. No better than the overthrow of Mubarak, Qadaffi, and a host of other strongmen who posed no threat to us.
Government funding of PP, La Raza, and whatever acorn has become must be stopped today.
For house gop to not be behind this is just another example of them being dem lite.
