When first I learned that top-ranked Florida State would be suspending quarterback Jameis Winston for one half of Saturday nights game versus No. 22 Clemson, my initial thought was, Sure, the half when Clemson is on offense.
Pardon my cynicism, but we have entered this turnstile before with the Seminoles Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback.

From what I have noticed, seems as though all of the recent reports of misogynistic behavior come from men who are fit the demographic of an OBAMA voter.
So who is conducting a war on women?
This kid is talking himself into a 5th/6th round flyer instead of a 1st round lock.
Personally, I would have committed him to not playing any further this season (Suspended until the 2015 season).
Yet another example of allowing a “pampered” athlete leeway for bad behavior. Until someone steps in a puts an end to these so-called “athletes” bad behavior, they are emboldened to keep going. Next thing we know he will be on the list of NFL players who beat their wife and kids because they think the are “special”, which is far from the truth.
The university’s bread and butter is football. Of course they’re not going to suspend Winston for an entire game, esp. while they’re on a school-record undefeated streak.
Sadly, the reason this is happening is the old guard retired. Mickey and Bobby would not let this stand and would’ve gladly suspending Winston for an entire season for these antics over letting the Seminole name suffer. I love Jimbo Fisher, don’t get me wrong, but his job is to keep butts in the Doak and money rolling in from alum, myself included.
He’s not the athlete like Mariota of Oregon or other QB’s are. I wouldn’t be surprised if he goes undrafted.
Should the NFL suspend him with pay to get ahead of the game?
Football (and sports in general) is full of drama queens and prima-donna’s.
Thank God I don’t even bother to watch sports anymore.

What he is doing is building his NFL resume. He will become either a Democrat politician or NFL star. Or both.
