GOP beginning To Listen To The People In Mid-Terms

For months, the GOP consulting class has been relentlessly and primarily beating the ObamaCare drum despite calls from the grassroots and news outlets, most especially Breitbart News that the ground was shifting and it was time to broaden the message.

Clearly immigration, foreign policy and the economy have been increasingly foremost in the minds of voters, including the GOP base, as we head on toward November. Now, finally, the Republican establishment and consulting class appears to be getting the message - and getting their own messaging right in the process.

Polls show that voters don't see the law as a top concern, and both Democrats and Republicans say the election will turn on a range of issues.

That outlook is causing both parties to adjust. While some Republicans had billed the election as a referendum on the health law, the GOP is now delivering a broader indictment of what the party describes as the Obama administration's failures. Some Democrats are cautiously stepping out to defend the law, highlighting its most popular provisions while suggesting fixes.

"Obamacare is part of the mix, but it is nowhere near the sole focus of our campaigns," said Republican pollster Neil Newhouse. "Obamacare has come to symbolize government overreach, Obama's liberal values and poor policy judgment."

I think the Republicans know what will happen this coming month - employer mandate preparations.

This will further destroy the Democrats unless Obama postpones it again.

What is needed in America, is a political party which stands up for individual working Americans.

We have been sending American jobs overseas now for more than an entire generation.

The first party to say “bring them back” will win big.

GOP, stand up first.

Polls show that voters don't see the law as a top concern, and both Democrats and Republicans say the election will turn on a range of issues.

This also shows that Obama has been successful in postponing implementation and therefore concerns about the massive marxist power grab.

All of the myriad of scandals have distracted voters from the most fundamental change in American history.

We will become a nation of Big government, for Big government, and by Big government.

It's gotten so bad that the only good thing about the GOP is...well, at least they aren't the demonrats.

The worst thing about them is that they have to remind us that they aren't the demonrats.

LOL. We need a third party that appears first at the state and local levels, and caucuses with the GOP when they behave. We'll never get one at the national level "all at once."

The problem with a conservative (or libertarian) third party is that it's a vote splitter, even at the state level. The coalition of the disaffected that Obama has put together is very powerful and unified on a couple of matters: They hate straight white men (even if they are white) and they want the government to redistribute more wealth and power to their causes.

Is that the punch line?

Uh no. This article is wrong. The establishment has NOT been running against Obamacare. And they are NOT getting the message. The message has to be running against all those things: bad economy, amnesty, bad foreign policy, AND Obamacare. Establishment not getting it all. Nate Silver’s numbers are telling.

They have? When and where?

The Republicans are running on “jobs, jobs, jobs.”

The Democrats are running on “jobs, jobs, jobs.”

Both presuming, of course, that it is government’s job to create jobs.

When nothing could be further from the truth.

Right, it will be only “part of the mix” because before every election, Obama postpones it. After the election, he lets it fly and OH THE OUTRAGE poors forth!!! “This will sink Obama and dems for sure” is what we hear from the GOP-e. But come next election cycle, another postponement, wash rinse repeat.

Here is an idea for you GOP, next time stand with Ted Cruz against this instead of counting on implementation to stoke voter outrage. The regime has figured out how to rely on the low information’s two second memory to dull any adverse effects of this law.

Yeah. The Establishment pretends to listen for the next 45-50 days.

On November 7th, their ears will slam shut.

I’m not staying home! There are a few good conservatives here in Texas that deserve my vote.

Senator Cornball and a few others will be left blank. That sends a stronger message than just staying home since they know I went to the polls, but still couldn’t be bothered to vote for them.

The first party to say “bring them back” will win big.

They only have to say it? That's a lot easier than actually doing anything to bring them back.
