Obama and his staff can't figure out how to use the event for political advantage. The only time our military and veterans matter is when he needs them as props for his never-ending campaign.
Veterans are like the Crimea to him:
“Gone. Last time I spoke at a Vet event, they were mean. They’re gone to me. Like the Crimea.”
The Crimea is Russian now, just like the Vets.
