Why doesn’t the nfl just go ahead and sell its self to NOW or women in general. All this is happeneing because they want to expand their appeal to women.

I quit both NFL & NBA a long time ago. Give me hockey. They have not yet become PC in the NHL. But they are probably not too far behind.

Pretty much the same here, I may catch a few minutes of a game in passing [sic], but the days of being slaved to the screen on Sundays is long gone…

There's a lot of hype locally RE the new owner of the Buffalo Bills & their unexpected good start this season – it'll be interesting to see how long it takes the Libs to ID him as a dreaded Fracker and start demanding more such litmus tests for sports.

I don’t give a fig for the NFL or NBA, but the thug culture takes root long before the perps get to the pros. Once upon a time the colleges were the gatekeepers. Imperfect as they were, they maintained at least some standards. The television money overwhelmed all that. I’m sure that many colleges and coaches haven’t sold out, but they have to compete with the now well entrenched anything goes crowd. That’s where the remedy should be sought.

I’ll watch my grandsons play in the high school games and perhaps some college football, but I am no longer interested in NFL.

The NFL is Liberal? On what planet? I don’t think they have much of a leaning one way or the other but last I saw something like 90% of the Owners gave to GOP and Conservatives only.

I didn't say the individual owners but the league is. Goodell is a Lib and obviously a blatantly foolish one at that. I also think this move will be Goodell’s ending because so many owners are Conservatives.
The owners aren't going to play Sarcastaball.

Commish "Flag Football" Goodell may just be just dumb enough to not know his caving incompetence is presiding over the decline and possible demise of the NFL.
Alternatively, as the son of a liberal Dem politician, he way a Trojan horse, all the while getting filthy rich to the tune of $40 mil.
Not unlike the thieving ALgore of energy for the NFL.
