They were first the rebels we needed to support in Syria.

Then they became a J.V. threat.

Then they were amateur hour.

Now they warrant a prime time address from the White House. The President who once declared the War on Terror over, used variants of the word “terror” eighteen times in his speech. And what of the President’s speech? Put it to you this way — it is the first time he has wanted to talk about jobs and the economy in a long time.

Basically, our strategy is to outsource the military’s job to Syrian rebels. Just last week the President said those rebels are not capable of doing what needs to be done.

Yeap - it's all over - just "contingency" ops from now on...you know, once HE killed bin Laden - Al Qaeda just fell apart at his mere presence or speech...kinda like that song did to those aliens in the movie, "When Mars Attacks"...

Because Barry's ego is much bigger than those guys brain!

It would be a serious moral challenge to be a whole hearted soldier in the military these days, reminds me of the days in Europe when the hords were sent to die for kings with lofty ideas.

...and that’s exactly how he views the military “with his lofty ideas”...Chicago and the part he came from - is NUTS...I was working up there over the last 6 months - just moved back to my home...those people don’t care - and have no idea about common sense in that part of the city...I’m not saying there are not hard working people that get up before day light and go to work - but they are still under the impression that Barry has their best interests - I would see them on the subway platforms every morning on the Red Line as I was driving into the city on I-94 - but they really think he’s the best thing since sliced bread...sad - sad - sad...

Well, technically the most recent deployment announced is so the army can fight germs...(ebola.)

Maybe aside from all the people cutting off the heads of Amercans, someone should tell obama the bad guys are still out there.

Then somone tell him it's a bad idea to invite them over for the holidays.

Who cares what Erick Erickson thinks?

The man has no experience in foreign policy, military affairs, or politics.

He is just an opportunist who figured out quickly how to make money off of the tea partiers.

As with many, the man jumbles the disparate variables to develop a neat package he thinks he understands.

Waste of bandwidth

There is no “war on terror”, and there never was.

You cannot make war on a tactic.

There was a successful campaign to defeat those that use terror as a tactic. The short hand is war on terror.

Since the pacifists believe war was over forever after Vietnam, use of the word war was unacceptable. To counter the campaign it was dubbed criminal action that was to be countered by ordinary law enforcement. Having semantically resolved the issue, there effectively was no war nor terror.

The problem with what to do with the military is being resolved by converting them to a social services organization. They are being sacrificed to Ebola.

The Obama problem must be solved this year. If it continues there will be no America

There is a problem that generates symptoms and we deal with the symptoms

So we fight the war on terror the same way we did with the cold war. Try to outlast them and beat them demographically.

But as we fight the war on terror, it might be better to not call it a war because that motivates our adversaries
