WASHINGTON (AP) A new study says that the drilling procedure called fracking didnt cause much-publicized cases of tainted water, blaming contamination on leaky natural gas wells instead.
The study finds that eight hydraulically fractured wells in Pennsylvania and Texas leaked gas because the piping and cement seals in the wells themselves werent working properly.

This has been known for years - but anti-fracking people just ignore it.
Fracking takes place thousands of feet below ground. Groundwater is taken 80+ feet below ground. They are 2 completely different geologic spaces. Its like worrying if cars will interfere with airplanes.
