The committee members requested HHS tell them by Sept. 26, why the administrations warnings have become more dire, the problems to date with containment, the protocols to respond to Ebola in the U.S., how federal funding have been spend to combat Ebola, the current risk the diseases posses to the U.S., assessments of hospitals to respond to an outbreak, as well as the status of medicine.

If you dig into the ongoing events...you start to see that the health-care workers in Africa...are dying at a fairly rapid rate. So, there’s not some big pool of semi-trained guys waiting to step into the mess there. And our answer? Send in the US Army....which means our own guys will get the disease...end up in the US eventually, and help transmit it in bulk situations to the rest of American society.
I think I see a problem right there. Private industry would want an answer by noon tomorrow.
Because they purposely brought it here?
Obama declares NO Strategy on Ebola, hopes to have
one in near future...may possibly degrade Ebola
to a manageable problem...
Let me guess - its global warming.
I would not doubt that it is being brought here purposefully. My question is: Where might they plan the first outbreak? Or are they planning simultaneous outbreaks in multiple locations? And could this be the wrong time in our history to be a member of the healthcare community?
Hey Kart, is this ping worthy?
:-D
See target - hit target! Outstanding!!!
I guess that’s a good a guess as any. Mother Gaia, seeing how we are ruining the ecology, and ordered Obama to bring Ebola to the United States as punishment for all the evils of Capitalism.

... perhaps a kinetic military medical problem
I’m confused...I thought he gave Ebola a red line.
“HHS has poor intelligence and a bad attitude, like most of the president’s cabinet.” says GOP House Energy and Commerce members.
“We don’t know and we don’t care.” replied HHS.
Where?
New York, for propaganda value, or somewhere inland for psychological impact.
Opinion, obviously, but probably close.
Malls, subways.
Places densely inhabited.
Simultaneously.
Screw all that. I want to know what the symptoms are. What does the disease do? What are we watching out for? Do we get a fever and chills, and little bumps? Does our skin slough off? What organs are affected? Are there any tests?
We are getting very little information. We know what measles does, measles is a virus, so is chicken pox, so is hepatitis in its many forms. So is a cold and all the types of flu. We don’t see massive numbers of deaths from any of these viruses. So why are we scared of ebola?
So far, less than 3000 people have died, out of a world population of seven billion. That is a negligible percentage. Sorry, 3000 people. Maybe they were already sick, maybe some had other problems. All we hear is a death toll, and we are expected to get all worked up. I think it is made-up news.
I don’t think Ebola is made up news at all.
We shall know soon enough.
Incubation period generally of 21 days.
Fever, sore throat, muscle pain, headaches at first.
Vomiting, diarrhea, rash follow.
Decreased kidney and liver function.
Then the hemorrhaging begins.
Live virus can be spread through sexual contact, even up to two months after surviving infection.
Oh, mental effects have been noted in the recent outbreak.
Fugues, violent irrational behavior contrary to prior known personality.
I don’t know about made up news. I think it is a very serious problem in Africa. Sanitary conditions, personal health and medical care are very skimpy there.
If the disease spreads to a more advanced society the outcome could be very different.
