Is Obama a Muslim? Yes and no. Obama told us that he is a Christian and believes that Jesus was a great man, a great teacher, but that he does not believe in all that “supernatural stuff”.
I think that it is the same for Obama with Islam. I think that culturally, Obama is a Muslim, but more or less a secular Muslim. He takes bits and pieces of islam and rejects the rest. He doesn’t celebrate birthdays, as far as giving gifts, he takes off his jewelry during Ramadan and follows other meaningless Muslim practices, but he doesn’t really believe in Islam, any more than he believes in Christianity. He is like a secular Jew who celebrates Christmas and Hannuka at the same time.
